I was standing by the Gateway of India, reading the inscription that runs above the archway, and I turned to my friend and asked "..... so, what's the relationship between Britain and India then?" It was my second time in the country.
Trying to surmise Mumbai is like looking for the end of a circle. It would fill a lifetime of books. But if you know the city these words and pictures might rest somewhere between nostalgia and a new perspective.
